A rare Jaques St George Pattern weighted boxwood and ebony chess set, circa 1885, both kings stamped JAQUES LONDON in red, the chessmen with green baizes to the undersides, one black knight and one white knight stamped with a red crown, one black rook and one white rook stamped with a red crown, the king 12.5cm high, the pawn 6.4cm high, in an elmwood box with a hinged lid, 25cm wide.
